You're invited to grab a cup of coffee, sit on the couch and read about God's incredible work
over the past year. My first year as youth pastor here at First Baptist has been a wake-up call to me. I have woken up to
the spiritual needs all around Camdenton. I have woken-up to the many physical needs of the many here around the lake area,
and I have woken up to the fact that ALONE I will never begin to meet the needs of any one of them. I used to think that being
a youth pastor was all about planning scavenger hunts, concerts, getting ketchup and pudding pies throne at me. But God has
been showing me that as a PART of a body as a WHOLE, God wants me to use me (and all the rest uf us) beyond the youth house
walls. Do you remember last January? I sure do. January 12 was my first offical day at the office. Our first big event last
year was the "Super Bowl" party.Remember all of the commericals that the youth had made. Do you also remember the CLEAN halftime
alternative we had, while the rest of the world sat staring at their TV screens with their jaws on the floor. Do you remember
True Loves Waits last year. WOW did it have an impact on my life, proably more that the students. God really impressed on
me that His standard of purity is not just physical but spiritual as well. As we move on down memory lake let's think back
to the 30 Hour Famine!! I know it was hard, but we raised a lot of money and grew closer together as a youth group. Aquire
the Fire was a real turning point for church unity as we crammed into hotel rooms together. And then of course "The St. Louis
Project." God did an amazing wor in the lives of our students that week. We cried and laughed together and saw God do miracles
through broken vesseles like us. This fall FOCUS after hours opened our eyes to new Christian music. Thanks for a great year,
I love you guys. Edwin
